Question
QUESTION: Hi. i would really appreciate it if you would help me out with a certain question. i am pregnant and i am 32w and 4d pregnant. my problem is i had sexual intercourse oct.3 with my ex and oct.8 with my boyfriend. i had an ultrasound when i was 10w1d on 12/6/10 and at 16w4d on 01/20/11 both giving me a due date of july 3! i asked my doctor when i conceived and he said on or around oct.10/11! i would like to know who is more probable the father of my baby. i kno a dna test would prove it 100% but im really struggling and can't afford it. i am trying to get everything together for my child. i live from place to place with family members and friends and it's really stressing me out. then with this situation i am really stressing and i know its not good for me and my baby! can you please help me and take some relief off my shoulders?! thanks in advanced! :/

ANSWER: Hello T,

Based on the information and dates you provided, you did most likely conceive on or around 10-10-10.  As sperm can live in the reproductive tract for up to 5 days, then it's more likely, but not absolutely certain, that your boyfriend is the father, not your ex.  However, the only way to be 100% certain is a paternity test.  You can verify your dates at this calculator as well:  http://www.givingbirthnaturally.com/calculating-due-date.html

QUESTION: so how likely is this?

I was doing a little research on the internet! I just wanted to know how likely are these dates!? I went to conception-calculator.net

Your Input

Your due date was 7/3/2011

Result

Based on the above information, your estimated conception date was between Oct-08-2010 and Oct-13-2010

The most likely conception date was Oct-10-2010

Explanation of Results

Conception date is calculated by subtracting 38 weeks to the due date.

Please note that the conception date is only an estimate. Since both eggs and sperms can live for longer than 24 hours, it is impossible to pinpoint the exact date of conception.

Answer
T,

Those results are exactly the same as what your doctor told you, what I already answered, as well as also the same as the calculator I provided to you stated. Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before your next period is to begin.  If you have a 28 day cycle, this is usually around day 14.  Unless you have very short or irregular cycles, then those dates should be very accurate.  Ultrasound between 8-10 weeks is the most accurate way to date a pregnancy, with a standard error of measure of +/- 1 day, so as I already stated, #2 is the more likely father.
