Childbirth/early sign of pregnancy or no?

Question
I was just curious to know if anyone who is or has been pregnant experienced this before. My cycle came on at its regular time and was normal. About three days later I had some brown spotting that turned into what looked like another period. This was very light. It lasted about five days; difference is that there was no breast tenderness or cramping. During those five days it wasn't even a consistent flow. The following week I ate the same meal I had eaten over the weekend and I vomited it right back up....which I still don't understand. At work now I'm not even hungry; just thirsty and I'm usual starving and can't wait to eat! I need answers asap! *FYI my next period isn't due until the 26th of this month.

Answer
Drena,

None of what you described can concretely be linked as early pregnancy symptoms, as it would be much too early to experience signs of morning sickness.  The bleeding you described is most likely breakthrough bleeding which can occur due to fluctuating hormones, stress, illness and other such issues not related to pregnancy.

The only way vomiting/lack of appetite could be signs of pregnancy is if you actually conceived last month and this month's period was actually breakthrough bleeding.  Occasionally, women will be pregnant and still have a regular period throughout every month of their pregnancy - it's rare but it does happen.
