Childbirth/providers

Question
I have had four births.  My first one was a natural birth.  My second one was an emergency c-section.  We are very sure that it was more of the negligence of the hospital rather than the babies own health that cause my son to flatline.  My second c-section was due to the fact that the doctors in my town were not up to a VBAC.  My last birth was on July 4, 2008.  Once again I had to have a c-section due to the fact that at this point I had already had to, mind the fact, that by the time I got to the hospital I was already 6cm and they had to give me a shot to stop her from coming.
So the bottom line comes down to the fact that I am so desperate to have a VBAC.  I am not currently pregnant, but before I do get pregnant, I wanted to settle my family in a town that was open to performing VBACs.  Would you happen to know where the best place would be or a provider that I could turn to?  I currently live in Texas, so I would love it if you happen to know anyone in TX or AZ.  Thank you

Answer
Hello Mayra,

The best way to find a supportive provider given your history is to contact your local chapter of ICAN - the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ican-online.org).  They can help refer you to local resources in your area who may know of physicians and midwives who offer VBA3C.
