Question
Hi,I'm about 8 week pregnancy...I got a walk with my friends for about an hour. When I'm walking suddenly I felt a sudden pain in vaginal area..So I took a rest for about 3 hours...But also I feel that pain from time to time.I also can see that vaginal discharge has increased.I'm frightened about it..Can you please help me.Is this normal or I have to see my doctor?

Answer
Hello Nandani,

What you are experiencing sounds completely normal.  Due to increased hormone levels, you may experience ligament pain and stretching as well as increased discharge during pregnancy.  If the pain is severe enough to interfere with daily activities or the discharge is accompanied by a foul odor or bleeding, then you would need to contact your doctor to investigate further.
