Question
I just had my baby 9 weeks ago and ever since he was 4weeks old we've had unprotected sex about 20times and hes ejaculated in me almost everytime.
I havent gotten my period still and i stopped breastfeeding when he was 5weeks old.
I know i could possibly be pregnant but whats the chances?
and why do they say right after you give birth its a higher chance to get pregnant?
when should i take a pregnancy test?

Answer
You probably have a 20% or less chance of being pregnant right now.  It is said to be easier to get pregnant right after birth mostly because you can not easily tell when your fertility has returned.  You ovulate before you get your first period, so your fertility can return silently when you think you are "safe".  You can take a pregnancy test anytime.  It takes 10-14 days for a new pregnancy to show up on a test.

Expertise

I can answer questions on a wide variety of childbirth topics, including natural childbirth, c-sections, VBACs, and more.

Experience

I have six children. My triplets were born by c-section, my fourth child was an attempted VBAC turned c-section, and my fifth child was a planned, unassisted birth center VBA2C. My sixth child was born in 2008 at home. I have done extensive research on pregnancy and birth, and I have dealt with a wide spectrum of interventions and complications.

Education/Credentials
I have the ability to do my own research and gather data to make an informed choice.
