Why did the previous Colby leave AMC? Is the switch temporary? Thanks.

Answer
They wanted the character of Colby to age quicker so they hired an older girl to play the part. Too bad that the other Colby didn't realize that the call that went out for another actress was for HER role. She was very hurt!
