QuestionI've watched AMC for years but after having my son a 5 weeks ago I've missed a lot. Things are finally starting to go back to normal and I usually can watch at least 3 usually 4 shows a week. I've been watching the show since I was 3 or 4 with my mom and love it. Anyways I'm somewhat behind on a few things. My first is Dixie. Usually when a character comes on the show that was so beloved yo hear it all over the place. I've heard for the past few years she may come back but it was always talk. So I was shocked to see Cady Mclain on the show. Can you tell me more about this. She was on ATRTs right? Is she still on that and this is just a couple show thing? Or what is going on? Dixie used to be one of my favorite characters. I'm so glad this is the real Dixie and also played by the same character. I just hope we see more of the "old Dixie" come out. She seems very different and up class, so just so very different from the old Dixie. Though she has only been back a few days and I'm sure this is part of the storyline. I've tried looking online about her coming back but did not see anything.
AnswerHi there Angela.......
Your question is quite involved, but I'll try to give you some insight.
Cady McClain's contract on ATWT ended. So.......we got lucky and got her back. I have always loved her. Strange, but when she was previously on AMC, she never won a daytime emmy........BUTm, when she went to ATWT.....she won an emmy! WOW! I saw talk of her coming back in the local newspaper under daytime tv news.
Yes, she looks different, or should I say, more sophisticated......but she is older now and should look that way. Unfortunately, people don't stay the same. IU do wish we could go back to when she first married Tad. That s the way I will always remember her. =)
This is going to make some interesting viewing for us as a love triangle will develop between Tad, Dixie and Di.
There is a place in Delphi forums called Janny's Place where we talk about AMC. You migjht want to check it out. Here is the URL...just copy and paste to your browser:
