I agree with you!  =)
She does pick her clothes to wear for each scene, but has NOTHING to do buying them.  They have a wardrobe person who does the buying.  All the stars have clothes racks marked with each actor's screen name.
I have a VHS tape named "All My Children, Behind the Scenes."  It is hosted by Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery) and it shows those racks.  Did you know that Susan Lucci wears a size 2???!  I saw some of her clothes at ABC's Super Soap Weekend.  I wonder what size Greenlee is??  She too looks so tiny!
