Question
My chimney is in the center of my house.  It separates my family room from my kitchen.  The portion facing the family room has a working fireplace.  The other side has an indoor charcoal grill facing the kitchen.  We just had a company come out to fix the chimney and clean it.  They were surprised to see the indoor grill and thought is was great.  I agreed until I used it for the first time this weekend.  Even though the flue is clean and open, some of the smoke from the charcoal was coming into the house and not all straight up the flue.  I was thinking about installing a sliding door to keep the smoke in the chimney and not my house.  Can you direct me to somewhere that would have a door or a way to manufacture one?

Check with a local hearth retailer - they're going to be your best source for a door like you're describing.
