Question
Hello, we have a brick wood burning penisula style fireplace.  We would like to "close" the front view to convert it into a 2 sided fireplace.  Can this be done by simply using brick?  Any direction would be appreciated.

Answer
Hello John, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have. I am not sure what you are explaining, are 3 sides open and you want to brick up the far end leaving the two long sides open for viewing?
you may be able to do that, but with out seeing it I can not say for sure.
hope this helped
