Chimney & Fireplaces/New Chimney Installation - Cure time?

Question
I am wanting to install a wood burning stove in my basement.  Of course I will want to use it as soon as possible this winter.  I plan to lay block with the clay tiles to construct the chimney..  How long should the new chimney cure before I begin to use the stove?  Should I avoid blazing fires for a while?

Answer
Hello Mike, to be honest I am not sure I do not do chimney construction. I would say read the mortar bag, talk to a mason, and make sure you are building it to your towns code with your local building department. you need to use the right mortar and have proper clearance to combustibles.
hope this helped
