Chimney & Fireplaces/Pellet Stove Installation

Question
Hi!
We currently have a pellet stove insert that is installed in our zero-clearance fireplace.  It was professionally installed to code.  The problem is that it is not strong enough to heat our house, so we are looking at buying a bigger model.  Nothing bigger will fit into the space available, but I was told by one salesperson that removing the zero-clearance and installing directly into that space would be an option.  Another salesperson told me that this wouldn't be possible as there would be nothing covering the combustibles in the space that was occupied by the fireplace.  Who is correct?
Thanks!
Shawn

Answer
Hello Shawn, I agree the bigger unit should not be installed either way. why not just run the new pellet stove out through the wall? (according to the manufacturers instructions)or you could use fans to help circulate the hot air?
hope this helped
