Question
I have a purchased a house with a fisher wood stove, it smokes alot.....it has a chain on the right side, it does not seem to do anything is it the damper? How hard will this be to fix?

Answer
Hello Neilbarber, with out the owners manual it is had to say what it does (it might be the damper) if you can find the model # you might be able to find the manual. if not then I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they might be able to figure it out and tell you if it is installed correctly? safe to use? and how to use it.
hope this helped
