Chimney & Fireplaces/gas fireplace

Question
We just moved into a apartment with a gas fireplace. There is no remote to be found and has been lost for the last three tenants. I would like to order a new remote but can not find the make, model or anything on the burner or logs. Are there such things as universal remotes? What can we do?

Jen

Answer
Hello Jennifer, you might have to have some one from your local wood stove store come out and take a look at what you have, if they can not find the make & model number or manual then you might have to replace the log set with one that has a remote.
Hope this helped
