Chimney & Fireplaces/multiburner do i need to put in a liner

Question
Hello James I have a existing chimney which i use for open fires. If i convert to a multiburner to i really need to put a liner up the chimmney.Would a chimney bottom plate and a short enamel pipe be sufficient.

Answer
Hello Nigel, what is a "multiburner"? is it an insert or wood stove? if so then you have to pipe/line to the first flue tile, I prefer lining all the way to the top, makes cleaning easier, the stove works better, and it is safer.
hope this helped
