Chimney & Fireplaces/Chemical smell

Question
After my fire has been burning for about an hour we get a chemical type smell (burns the eyes) in the house. We have had a sweep out to clean it & that did not fix it. There is no smoke in the house & we use real wood for fuel. Any ideas?

Answer
Hello Brandon, next time you have a fire check the boiler room for that smell. if you are getting it from there open a window in the boiler room.
if not is it possible to be pulling air in from some where else and the odor too?
keep me posted
