Chimney & Fireplaces/missing chimney pipe

Question
Okay, I live in Texas and my chimney was blown off my roof due to Hurricane Ike. Part of it is still sticking out of the roof...that part is fine. There is an additional 3 feet of pipe that is attached to the cap. This is the part that blew off. It has an 8 inch pipe and an exterior pipe around it. I believe our fireplace is made by Martin Industries. What can I do? Are pipes universal? I know it was a single wall pipe. Help?

Answer
Hello Kristin, I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have.
no pipe is not "universal" and most be the same pipe top top bottom.
