Question
Hello, I just bought a CenturyHeating CW2500X insert for my masonry fireplace.. Its a display and didn't come with man. Question is, why do they say to put a liner in my chimney? Why not a 6"pipe into the large chimney area that goes to the 18"-20" flue?                THANKS Dean

Answer
Hello Dean, you should be able to down load a manual from the manufactures web page.by code it must be piped to the first flue tile, I(I prefer to line to the top) makes cleaning easier, more efficient, less build up) I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have. they will tell you if the chimney is safe for that unit.
