Chimney & Fireplaces/smoke from pellet stove and pipe

Question
We installed a earthstove pellet stove in our basement.  We have had unending problems with smoke from the stove joints and the pipe.  We put a pipe bringing in fresh air right down nest to the fan. We also put a draft fan on the outside pipe to draw smoke out.The stove pipe is about 3 feet verticle then it takes a gentle 90 degree bend and is horizontal for 2 feet and goes out the wall.  We have cleaned and sealed everything ten times over and we still get smoke 2 out of 3 times Please help.

Answer
Hello Ginger, what did the manufacturer say when you contacted them? is the pipe installed as per the installation instruction? you say you "put a pipe bringing fresh air right down to the fan" that fan maybe for air movement in the home not through the unit, try opening a window.
does the smoke happen before, during, after the fire? is there any mechanical draft near by, furnace returns, kitchen/bathroom exhaust fans, boiler/furnace, cloths dryers? all pull air out of the home.
