Chimney & Fireplaces/broken damper handle

Question
I don't have a question. It's been a while since my last e-mail to James. He was just great with his quick response. He wasn't able to solve the problem, but his knowledge was really good.I found another fix, and it was simple. We got a new fireplace screen from Home Depot, ~ $200.It has a screen and glass door that shuts flush to the fireplace. Now we don't have to worry about the damper handle being broken. Please tell James how much I appreciate his help and to log in my solution to a very unusal problem.
Have a merry....Penny

Answer
Hello Penny thank you for the great review, but I am sorry I do not remember your original post, did you ever get the unit looked at by a certified sweep? and if it is a Pre-fab unit those glass doors might be very dangers. please have a certified sweep take a first hand look
