i would like to find out what i could make a fire wall in my fireplace to replace the old wall that is made of mortar or concrete
Hello David, I am not sure what you are replacing? if this is a Pre-Fab fireplace you must replace it with stock items or the right replacement parts. if it is a masonry fireplace you need some one that can repoint the bricks
I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have.
