Chimney & Fireplaces/Putting a wood stove in trailer

Question
I just purchased a 1979 66X16 trailer with a fireplace insert that was probably put in  when trailer made.  It is not that efficient.  I have my main heat as forced air and so expensive.  Can I put a wood stove in the existing fireplace insert? And is there a certain kind of wood stove that is needed for this, to be safe?

Answer
Dolly,

There is no wood-stove insert you can install inside of a factory built fireplace. You can have your existing fireplace removed and replaced with an efficient unit approved by HUD for your trailer. There are a number of quality hearth appliances on the market today that will meet this need. Good luck.
