Question
We have a geodestic dome home.  Recently we had wind damage to our chimney and are having to replace it.  The walls were wood framed and sided with siding, the chimney is triple walled stove pipe.  We are trying to figure out a beter way to rebuild it.  The stove is in the basement so we have a T, then on up.  Would it be better to go with a brick chimney?  It can not be attached to the house like a normal one.  I can emial pictures if needed.  We ahve a big mess to clean up and work on, so any ideas are very welcomed.
thanks Jeanne

Answer
Hi Jean,

You need to consult a local contractor on this.

I recommend you contact a local CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep to do some on-site diagnosis of your problem and to give you some suggestions.

You can find a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep at www.csia.org.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but it's just not possible in this type of forum to be of much help on something like this.

Thanks for using AllExperts.Com and good luck with your project.

Sincerely,
