Question
whats the story like when ya have two holes in the wall above the range is there
two flues in the chimney or is there just two holes for the craic??

It's possible, that at one time a an exhaust system over the range was replaced with a unit that vented in a different location on the top, and the installer had to access a new venting hole in the ceiling area. Other than that, no, only one hole is required as far as I know. Good luck.
