I am in the process of buying a house i town and i absolutely love a wood-burning fire and want to add a fireplace (the real deal) to my home. Is this possible and how expensive could it be? The home is made of cinder blocks and, I assume, would need to have a hole cut out for the firebox? Right? Help......Really want one!

A qualified mason can certainly build a real fireplace and chimney system for your home. Not knowing any particulars, $8,000 - $12,000 would be a guess. You can also have a factory built unit installed for around $6,000 - $9,000. Hope this helps.
