Question
We are building a house and I would like a vented gas fireplace in the great room on a wall that has the deck on the other side.  Would like the fireplace to be on both sides - so we can sit on the deck and enjoy a fire as well.  Any suggestions?

See through fireplace that vent inside/outside are notorious poor performers. Wind load and pressure difference just to name a couple make for a lot of smoke entry into your home. Lets not forget the entry for intruders that don't mind getting a little ash on the thieves uniform. I wouldn't recommend it. Good luck and thanks for asking.
