Chimney & Fireplaces/Fireplace heatilator

Question
I have a fireplace that has a heatilator. It has a gas valve that has been disconnected and is now used as a woodburner. There are dual motors on the bottom of the hearth; one is noisy at startup and I have been told it may need the bear oiled/greased. My main concern is the rust on the inside of the box, the bricks on the bottom of the firebox are loose and missing mortar(?) and there is a metal insert in the front (fan?). I would like to get the firebox repaired/replaced. Is it possible to replace just the firebox or would the piping that vents out of the top of the fireplace have to be replaced also. There are 4 piping vents. Can I replace the mortar in the bricks or do I need to have a mason do that?  I know there are products available specifically for this.

This is not a DIY repair.

I recommend you contact a local CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep to do some on-site evaluation of your problems.
