Chimney & Fireplaces/Gas Logs

Question
We have vent-free gas logs and for some reason, recently the fire just goes out.  There is no gas leaking, it is like the entire unit just shuts off.  I've called a couple of 'repair' people and I'm getting different answers every time.  Can you help me?

Answer
Hello Connie, I am not a big fan of "vent free" any thing. it might be a sensor in which case you are getting to much carbon monoxide and the unit is shutting off (as it should or you could die)
I would have that unit removed and install a direct vent unit. it is much safer. I have a direct vent gas stove and love it
