Chimney & Fireplaces/Smoking Chimney Flu

Question
We have a cabin with a wood burning stove.  It has been fine, all of a sudden this weekend the flu pipe inside the house began smoking (alot).  The smoking begins about 18" up the flu pipe.  When I open the dampner in the front of the stove (to allow for faster burning) is when the stove smokes, I close it, it stops.  The main dampner to the stove of course is open (just wanted to clarify that).

Answer
Hello Brenda, when was the last time the stove and flue was cleaned? was there any thing in the cabin pulling air out of the house (exhaust fans) I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have.
