Question
we have a 12 inch pipe we are installing today. But some experts have said our flu is about 10  inches? what happens if the pipe is bigger than the flu?

Answer
Hello Aileen, with out seeing it and sizing it my self I would say do not do it. solid flue (wood and coal) can not be down sized. This can be very dangerous, so not do it until you have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
