Question
hi replacing 1900s  45 foot high brick chimney with s/s metal flue the fire is 18in wide 30in high will we have draft problems with a 9in dia flue or a draw problem due to the hight...regards tom

Answer
Hello Tom, 1st most chimney work fine, (its the house that is the problem, Negative Pressure) 2nd follow the installation instructions and check with your building department. 3rd in most cases the higher the chimney the better and if the chimney is an out side chimney try to build a chase around it to help keep it warm, that will help the draft.
keep me posted
