Chimney & Fireplaces/Temco 42-4 flue

Question
I have a Temco Model 42-4 woodburning fireplace that was installed as a gas fireplace (gas starter, fake logs, etc.).  I've cut off the gas supply and removed the innards and would like to start burning wood.  My question:  Is the double walled 6" (inside pipe) diameter flue that was installed for the gas vent safe to use for woodburning?  It's a straight shot, about 12' straight up to the cap.

Answer
I would suggest having the fireplace inspected first before burning any wood. I would call someone who is WETT Certified such as a chimney sweep.

Have them come in and inspect the fireplace to make sure everything is good to go first.

Have a great day.
