Question
Can you tell me what the significant differences are between double wall and triple wall pipe?

Answer
Double wall is commonly referred as black smoke pipe which is usually connected off of a wood stove to the ceiling support or if through a wall installation the wall support. the triple wall is usually what the double wall connects to.

Black smoke pipe/double wall will let the stove have closer clearances to combustibles ( like a wall).

Hope this helps.
