Question
QUESTION: will i get the draft i need if i use a 6in thimble

ANSWER: Hello Whitney, I do not understand what you are asking me? What is the 6" thimble connected to? is this  boiler?  Hot water heater? Wood stove? and what problem are you having?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: It's a wood stove-6in at stove,going through 6in clay flue then
6in outside insulated stove-pipe.Will this have enough draft or
should I go 8in through the wall and out?

Answer
Welcome back Whitney, if the stove collar is 6" then it must be 6" all the way to the top. I have never seen a 6" clay flue? I have seen a 7" x 7" flue tile. I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
