Question
we have a 1 story home. we have oil heat. the heater is in a closet. could we put a wood stove just on the other side of the wall and run the chimney from the wood stove up through the wall and tie it into the chimney we already have for our heater? if its dangerous to do it in the closet could we do it in the attick?

Answer
Hello Joe, you can not use the same flue for both oil and wood.
I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
