Question
how hot does the outer shell of an insulated woodstove chimney get?

Answer
Hello Philip, not sure, it depends on how hot you burn your stove, if you can find the manufacture of the pipe then you can contact them and find out what that pipe is rated for 1700 degrees? 2100 degrees?
you can also get a temp gauge and check it.
is it installed correctly?
