Chimney & Fireplaces/GAS VALVE

Question
Pilot will not stay on when button released, changed thermocouple and same things so figure the gas valve is defective.  Serial # is not legible.  It is a Dyna model 3000G and has G40 on side of valve.  Serial # is something like B6-HA-34 I think, the dashes I can not make out, rubbed out.  Can anyone tell me where to buy a gas valve for it or how to get the right Robert Shaw part that will replace it?  tks Ron

Answer
What I would suggest is speaking with local fireplace companies. Let them know what fireplace and model you have and they should be able to help locate a gas valve.

Other option is to try and find the companies website on the internet and call them to see what answers they can provide for you.
