Chimney & Fireplaces/wood stove insert install

Question
I have a Fireside-Striker C160 insert rated for install into a zero clearance/factory built fireplace.
The fireplace is a Heatilator model 2242 (~25+ years old).
It looks like it will fit but I am concerned that the weight will be too much (~400# loaded).....
any thoughts?

Answer
Hello Bob, hard to say if it will hold you have been using the 25+ year old fireplace and it maybe weakened, and the fireplace should be rated for an insert. I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Hope this helps
James
