Question
James I am looking at building an outdoor wood burning fireplace with a 42" - 48" opening.  How can I do this and keep my smokestack under 10ft tall?  I am open to doing an LP fireplace or using exhaust fans if needed, but need to keep the stack at 10ft.  What suggestions do you have to achieve that and keep the fireplace opening as large as possible?

Thanks!

Answer
Hello Matt, first start with your local building department there may be certain local codes that you must do. and they will tell you what you can and can't do (and maybe how to)
and Exhausto fans can run $3000.00-$4000.00 plus electric and installation.
