Chimney & Fireplaces/Single Wall Stove Pipe Length

Question
Hi Steve, I have a workshop with a ceiling height of 18 feet.  I understand that I can install a wood stove as long as it is a minimum height off the floor.  I would like to run single wall pipe to the ceiling to let heat escape into the room and save money.  However, I understand that there is a maximum length of single wall pipe that i can run.  Is single wall a good idea, and is there a length restriction?
Thank You in advance

Answer
Running 18 feet of single wall will be fine.

I would much rather see double wall pipe. Security Chimneys makes a double wall smoke pipe that has slots in it to let heat get back into the room like single wall while maintaining double wall clearances. This is something worth looking into.

If there is anything else i can do please let me know.

Thanks again.
