Question
I have a wood burning insert. I have to move the flue pipe away from my roof. I am using two 90 degree elbow connectors to do this. Should I connect at the flue opening or make the connection higher. Also, will a 6inch flue be large enough. The flue opening is 8 inches but I have plenty of 6 inch pipe available?

Answer
Hello Michael, not sure why you are moving the pipe (maybe to get around the gutter and eve) but you can not use 2 90's most you can do is 2- 30 degree off sets and if the stove is 8" it must be 8" all the way to the top, you can not down size. check the owners manual of the stove and pipe to be sure. and check with you local building department
