Question
Hi,
I have a gas fireplace and I'm wandering if the glass doors should be opened or closed after the fire is lit.  There's also a handle that opens a latch or some sort inside the fireplace above the fire source, what is that and what do I need to do with it when I operate the gas fireplace?

thank you!

Answer
Hello Brian, with out seeing what you have I am not really sure about that fireplace operation, did you read the owners manual for the fireplace/glass doors? You could have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.James
