Question
I am about to install a wood burning stove, I have a chimney and an exsisting aluminium flue(left from a back boiler system, now removed). Can I use this flue for my stove or will I need to change it for stainless steel flue

Answer
Hello Diane, the pipe must be rated and UL listed for a wood stove (no aluminum) you would cause a fire. did you have the chimney checked to see if it is safe to handle this wood stove. I would have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
Keep me posted
