Question
Hello James,
We installed a wood burning fireplace, and wired for electronic ignitor. Can the ignitor stand the heat generated from the wood. In other words are the ignitor used solely for gas fireplaces?
Thank you.

Answer
Hello Morewine, I am not sure what you have installed? you should ask this of who ever installed it, they do make a wood burning fire gas starter and they work great, but if it is not for wood then it might be dangers.
if you can not find out then have it replaced.
James
