Expert: James Ball - 5/3/2009

I am a certified W.E.T.T. inspector here in Canada and I just completed an inspection on an older wood burning fireplace. The only ledgable markings I could find were Empress 740HE and the serial number 261763. I am trying to find out who the manufacture was and am also trying to find a manual for the unit. Can you help me out or direct me to a source or somebody that may be able to help me find the information on this unit.

Hello Dan, What is a WETT inspector?, I an a member of the National Chimney Sweep Guild and looked into their manual library (300+) and found nothing that watched what you have.
If you can not find info on this unit then it might be time to replace the entire system.
