Question
We have had a gas fireplace insert and a Dovre Room Heater for 10 years.  The installer said to leave the pilot lights on during the summer even tho we don't use them.  However the owners manual says "the entire system should be shut down when the burning season comes to an end"  Do we only shut off the pilot lights, or also shut off the gas supply to the units?  Thank you.

Hi Annette,

You simply need to turn off the pilot light at the gas control valve on the unit.
