Chimney & Fireplaces/Turning a two sided fireplace into one sided

Question
I have a two sided fireplace between two bedrooms.  I use the second bedroom as a sitting room.  But, I am selling my home and need to make both bedrooms private.  Is there any way to keep the fireplace in tact but close it off so that neither bedroom is visible thru the fireplace?

Answer
Hello Delores, I am not a big fan of removing a fireplace (even a 2 sided) could you add glass doors to both sides and put a piece of sheet metal on one side (privacy) and allow the new home owner to decide if they want the view or to close it off. To close it off you could just brick up one side ( have a mason do that)
Hope this helps
