Question
I want to know if I would be able to use.  I would like to know if I could cut in half a chimney flute, in place of firebrick.  Would it withstand the same amount of heat, and work like a firebrick?

Answer
Hello Shawnee, I would not change them each has its own use's and once in might be even harder to replace. Fire brick is designed to take the heat, flue tile is designed to carry smoke high heat will crack it very fast.
do it right the first time.
