on a fairly new house how would you cover the top of a chimney for a fireplace?? 4x4 chase? Do they make a medal specially for that?  In ky where would you find a store

Hello Shirley, a chase cover can be made out of  Galvanized, copper and stainless steel, you could have a local metal shop make it for you or you could have a local Certified Chimney Sweep (www.csia.org, there you can look up by zip code to find one near you) take a first hand look at what you have they should be able to help.
