Question
The  free standing stove I am considering as a replacement( Drolet HT 2000) has a 6" flue collar size. My existing flu/chiminey (Metalbestos Model SS II ) is 8". Is there a 'reducer' available to accomplish this? What problems(if any)result from this conversion ? Where do you get one and what do they cost? Thank You!

Answer
Hello Roger, 1st check the stove for what size chimney it wants you to use if it is a 6" then you might have to replace the chimney too, if you don't the chimney might require more cleanings. A reducer/increaser can be found at any  wood stove/hardware store and just paint it with high temp paint.
